DIRECTIONS
  • Take Interstate 5 to Genesee Avenue.
  • Head West on Genesee Avenue.
  • Turn left on North Torrey Pines Road.
  • Turn left on Northpoint Drive (which becomes Hopkins Drive).
  • Continue down Hopkins Drive; the Hopkins Parking Structure will be on your right, just before Voigt Drive. Park here before proceeding on foot to Jacobs Hall (located at the corner of Voigt Drive and Engineer Lane).
PARKING

Parking at UC San Diego is fully digital; physical permits are no longer sold at campus information booths. Visitors must purchase parking using their vehicle’s license plate number immediately upon parking.

  • Where to Park: The closest parking structure to Jacobs Hall is the Hopkins Parking Structure.
  • Finding Visitor Spaces: Visitor “V” spaces are primarily located on Level 7 (the top floor) of the structure.
  • Permit Type: Visitors must park in designated “V” (Visitor) spaces, which are clearly marked on the ground. Please note that standard visitor parking is not valid in green “B” (Staff) or yellow “S” (Student) spaces during daytime business hours (they are only permitted in B and S spaces after 4:00 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends).
  • How to Pay:
    • ParkMobile App: Download the app and use Zone 4752 for standard campus Visitor (V) parking.
    • Pay Stations: Located inside the parking structures. Pay stations accept credit cards or cash ($1 and $5 bills only; no change is given).
